Beastie Boys gained fame with their debut album "Licensed to Ill" in 1986, which was the first hip hop album to top the Billboard 200 chart.
Throughout their career, Beastie Boys released several critically acclaimed albums, including "Paul's Boutique," "Check Your Head," and "Ill Communication." They were also known for their socially conscious lyrics and advocacy for various causes. The group was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012. Tragically, Adam Yauch passed away in 2012, leading to the disbandment of the group. Beastie Boys' legacy continues to influence the music industry, and they are considered one of the most significant and influential hip hop groups of all time.
