Belinda Carlisle is an American singer and songwriter born on August 17, 1958, in Hollywood, California. She first gained fame as the lead vocalist of the all-female band The Go-Go's, known for hits like "We Got the Beat" and "Our Lips Are Sealed." The band was one of the most successful all-female bands of all time, and they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2021.
After The Go-Go's disbanded, Carlisle pursued a successful solo career, releasing several albums that showcased her distinctive pop-rock sound. Some of her most well-known solo hits include "Heaven Is a Place on Earth," "Circle in the Sand," and "Mad About You." Throughout her career, Carlisle has sold over 8 million records worldwide and continues to perform music and tour as a solo artist.
