Artist Bio:
Ben Colder was a comedic alter ego created by country music singer Sheb Wooley. Wooley created the character in the 1960s as a parody of country music singers, particularly Johnny Cash. Ben Colder's music often featured humorous lyrics and parodies of popular country songs. Some of his well-known songs include "Almost Persuaded No. 2" and "Harper Valley P.T.A. (Later That Same Day)."

Ben Colder released several albums and singles throughout the 1960s and 1970s, gaining a following for his comedic take on country music. Despite being a parody character, Ben Colder's music was well-received by audiences and even charted on the country music charts. Wooley retired the Ben Colder character in the 1980s, but his legacy as a comedic country music act lives on in the annals of music history.
