Berlin is an American new wave band formed in Los Angeles in 1978. The band was originally fronted by singer Terri Nunn and achieved commercial success in the 1980s with their distinctive synth-pop sound. Their breakthrough album, "Pleasure Victim," was released in 1982 and featured the hit single "Sex (I'm A...)." Berlin is also well known for their iconic song "Take My Breath Away," which was featured in the film "Top Gun" and won the Academy Award for Best Original Song in 1987.

Over the years, Berlin has experienced lineup changes, with Terri Nunn being the only constant member. The band continues to perform live and has maintained a loyal fan base, particularly among fans of 1980s music.
