Artist Bio:
Big Country was a Scottish rock band formed in 1981 by Stuart Adamson and Bruce Watson. They achieved commercial success in the 1980s with their distinctive sound that blended rock and folk influences, characterized by Adamson's signature guitar playing style using a technique called the "e-bow." Their debut album, "The Crossing," released in 1983, was a critical and commercial success, featuring hits like "In a Big Country" and "Fields of Fire."

Over the years, Big Country released several albums and enjoyed moderate success in the UK and other parts of the world. Despite lineup changes and the tragic death of Stuart Adamson in 2001, the band continued to perform and release music with various members. Big Country's legacy is marked by their unique sound, powerful live performances, and influence on the rock music scene in the 1980s.
