Artist Bio:
Big Country was a Scottish rock band formed in 1981 in Dunfermline, Scotland. The band's original lineup consisted of Stuart Adamson, Bruce Watson, Tony Butler, and Mark Brzezicki. They were known for their distinctive sound, which incorporated elements of folk music and Celtic rock, as well as their use of the guitar-driven "bagpipe sound" created by dual guitarists playing in harmony.

Big Country achieved commercial success in the 1980s with hits like "In a Big Country" and "Fields of Fire." They released a total of nine studio albums before disbanding in 2002. Despite lineup changes over the years, the band continued to tour and release new music sporadically. Tragically, lead singer and guitarist Stuart Adamson passed away in 2001, leading to the eventual dissolution of the band. Big Country's legacy lives on through their influential music and enduring popularity among fans of 1980s rock.
