Big Punisher, also known as Big Pun, was an American rapper and songwriter born on November 10, 1971, in the Bronx, New York. Big Pun was the first Latino rapper to achieve platinum sales with his debut album, "Capital Punishment," released in 1998. The album featured hit singles like "Still Not a Player" and "Twinz (Deep Cover 98)" and received critical acclaim for its lyrical prowess and storytelling.
Big Punisher was known for his larger-than-life persona and impressive lyrical skills, earning him a reputation as one of the greatest rappers of all time. He was a member of the hip-hop group Terror Squad and collaborated with artists like Fat Joe, Jennifer Lopez, and The Beatnuts. Tragically, Big Punisher passed away on February 7, 2000, due to a heart attack at the young age of 28.
