Bill Black's Combo was an American instrumental rock band formed in Memphis, Tennessee in 1959. The band was led by Bill Black, who was also the bassist for Elvis Presley's early band, the Blue Moon Boys. The Combo's sound was influenced by rock and roll, blues, and R&B music, and they were known for their energetic live performances.


The band achieved commercial success in the early 1960s with hits like "Smokie, Part 2" and "White Silver Sands." They released several albums and singles on Hi Records, and their music was popular among fans of instrumental rock music. Bill Black's Combo disbanded in 1967 following Bill Black's death, but their music continues to be celebrated by fans of early rock and roll.
