Artist Bio:
Bill Deal & The Rhondels were an American beach music and blue-eyed soul group formed in 1965 in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The band's original lineup consisted of Bill Deal (vocals and keyboards), Ammon Tharp (drums), Ronny Rosenbaum (trumpet), Don Quisenberry (saxophone), Robert Tharpe (bass), and Eddie Williams (guitar). They gained popularity in the 1960s and 1970s with their energetic live performances and a string of hits on the pop and R&B charts.


Some of their well-known songs include "May I" and "I've Been Hurt." In 1969, their single "What Kind of Fool Do You Think I Am" reached the top of the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart. Despite several lineup changes over the years, Bill Deal & The Rhondels continued to perform and tour, maintaining a dedicated fan base. They were inducted into the Beach Music Hall of Fame in 1995, recognizing their significant contribution to the beach music genre.
