Bill Wyman is an English musician, record producer, and songwriter best known as the former bass guitarist for the rock band The Rolling Stones. He was born William George Perks Jr. on October 24, 1936, in London, England. Wyman joined The Rolling Stones in 1962 and remained with the band until 1993, making him the longest-serving bassist in the group's history.
In addition to his work with The Rolling Stones, Bill Wyman has released several solo albums and has collaborated with various artists. He is also a talented photographer and has published several books featuring his photography. Wyman was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of The Rolling Stones in 1989.
