Artist Bio:
Billy Bland was an American R&B singer born on April 5, 1932, in Wilmington, North Carolina. He is best known for his hit single "Let the Little Girl Dance," released in 1960, which reached number 7 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song also became a crossover hit, reaching number 11 on the R&B chart. Bland's smooth and soulful vocal delivery, coupled with the catchy melody of the song, made it a popular dance track during the early 1960s.

Despite the success of "Let the Little Girl Dance," Billy Bland did not achieve the same level of commercial success with his subsequent releases. He continued to record music throughout the 1960s and 1970s, but none of his other songs reached the same level of popularity as his signature hit. Billy Bland's contribution to the R&B and soul music scene of the 1960s is recognized and celebrated by music enthusiasts to this day.
