Billy Burnette is an American musician, singer, and songwriter born on May 8, 1953, in Memphis, Tennessee. He comes from a musical family, as his father Dorsey Burnette was a rockabilly pioneer and his uncle Johnny Burnette was also a successful musician. Burnette is known for his work as a guitarist and vocalist, and he has released several solo albums throughout his career.


In addition to his solo work, Burnette has collaborated with various artists and bands, including Fleetwood Mac, Bob Dylan, and John Fogerty. He joined Fleetwood Mac in 1987 as a replacement for Lindsey Buckingham and contributed to the band's album "Behind the Mask." Burnette has also written songs for artists like Roy Orbison, Ray Charles, and Faith Hill. Throughout his career, he has showcased his versatility as a musician, blending elements of rockabilly, country, and rock 'n' roll in his music.
