Billy "Crash" Craddock is an American country and rockabilly singer who was born on June 16, 1939, in Greensboro, North Carolina. He gained popularity in the 1950s and 1960s with his rockabilly music, before transitioning to a successful country music career in the 1970s. Craddock signed with Columbia Records in 1971 and released a string of hits including "Rub It In" and "Ruby, Baby," which both reached the top of the country music charts.
In addition to his music career, Billy "Crash" Craddock also had success as a NASCAR driver, competing in the sport during the 1970s. He was inducted into the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame in 2011 in recognition of his contributions to country music. Today, Craddock continues to perform and tour, delighting fans with his classic songs and energetic stage presence.
