In addition to "Gotta Travel On," Grammer had several other hits throughout his career, including "Bonaparte's Retreat" and "The Kissing Tree." He was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry in 1959 and continued to perform and record music well into the 1970s. Grammer passed away on August 10, 2011, leaving behind a lasting legacy in the country music scene.
