B.J. Thomas, born Billy Joe Thomas, was an American singer known for his pop and country hits in the 1960s and 1970s. He was born on August 7, 1942, in Hugo, Oklahoma, and raised in Houston, Texas. Thomas is best known for his chart-topping hits, including "Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head," which won an Academy Award for Best Original Song in 1970 for its inclusion in the film "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid."
Throughout his career, B.J. Thomas released numerous albums and singles that showcased his smooth and distinctive voice. Some of his other notable songs include "Hooked on a Feeling," "I Just Can't Help Believing," and "Another Somebody Done Somebody Wrong Song." Thomas continued to perform and record music throughout the years, earning a Grammy Award for Best Inspirational Performance in 1979 for his album "You Gave Me Love." B.J.
