B.J. Thomas, born Billy Joe Thomas, was an American singer best known for his hits in the pop, country, and Christian music genres. He was born on August 7, 1942, in Hugo, Oklahoma, and raised in Houston, Texas. Thomas gained widespread popularity in the late 1960s and early 1970s with songs like "Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head," which won an Academy Award for Best Original Song for its inclusion in the film "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid."


Throughout his career, Thomas released numerous albums and singles that achieved chart success, including "Hooked on a Feeling" and "I Just Can't Help Believing."
