Artist Bio:
Blackgirl was an American R&B group active in the early 1990s. The group consisted of members Pam Copeland, Nycolia "Tye-V" Turman, and Rochelle Stuart. They released their debut album, "Treat U Right," in 1992 under RCA records. The album received positive reviews and produced the hit single "90's Girl," which reached the top 10 on the Billboard R&B charts.
Despite their early success, Blackgirl disbanded in the mid-1990s after releasing their second album, which did not achieve the same level of commercial success as their debut. The group is remembered for their contributions to the R&B genre during the early 1990s and their empowering lyrics that resonated with their audience.
