Artist Bio:
Bloodrock was an American rock band formed in Fort Worth, Texas in 1963. The band's original lineup consisted of Jim Rutledge (vocals), Lee Pickens (guitar), Nick Taylor (keyboards), Ed Grundy (bass), and Stevie Hill (drums). Bloodrock is best known for their hit single "D.O.A.", released in 1971, which reached number 36 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song, written by Jim Rutledge, tells the story of a man who has been in a plane crash and is slowly dying.

The band released a total of seven studio albums between 1970 and 1972, with their self-titled debut album reaching number 21 on the Billboard 200 chart. Bloodrock's music is often described as hard rock and heavy metal, with dark and intense themes. The band disbanded in the mid-1970s but reunited briefly in the 2000s for a few live performances.
