Artist Bio:
Blue Cheer was an American rock band formed in 1967 in San Francisco. They are credited with pioneering the heavy metal genre and are known for their loud, aggressive style of music. The band's original lineup consisted of guitarist Leigh Stephens, bassist/vocalist Dickie Peterson, and drummer Paul Whaley.

Blue Cheer gained popularity with their cover of Eddie Cochran's "Summertime Blues," which became their biggest hit in 1968. The band released several albums throughout the late 1960s and early 1970s, including "Vincebus Eruptum" and "Outsideinside." Despite numerous lineup changes over the years, Blue Cheer continued to perform and release music until they disbanded in the early 2000s. They left a lasting impact on the rock music scene and are considered one of the pioneering bands of heavy metal.
