The Blues Magoos were an American rock band formed in the Bronx, New York in 1964. They were known for their psychedelic rock sound and were part of the early wave of American psychedelic bands in the 1960s. The band's lineup consisted of members such as Ralph Scala, Peppy Theilhelm, Emil "Peppy" Thielhelm, Ron Gilbert, Mike Esposito, and Geoff Daking.
Their most famous song, " (We Ain't Got) Nothin' Yet," was released in 1966 and became a hit, reaching the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song is often considered a classic of the psychedelic rock genre. The Blues Magoos released several albums throughout the 1960s and early 1970s, but they never achieved the same level of commercial success as some of their contemporaries. Despite this, they are remembered as an influential band in the psychedelic rock scene of the 1960s.
