Bo Donaldson and The Heywoods were an American pop music group formed in Cincinnati, Ohio. The band was fronted by lead singer Bo Donaldson and consisted of other members including Rick Joswick, Gary Coveyou, Dave Krieger, and others. They gained fame in the 1970s with their hit song "Billy, Don't Be a Hero," which reached the top of the charts in the United States and Canada in 1974.


Following the success of "Billy, Don't Be a Hero," the band had several more hits including "Who Do You Think You Are" and "The Heartbreak Kid." Bo Donaldson and The Heywoods were known for their catchy pop tunes and harmonious vocals. Despite their success in the 1970s, the band eventually disbanded, but their music continues to be remembered and enjoyed by fans of that era.
