Artist Bio:
Bob Welch was an American musician and singer-songwriter born on August 31, 1945, in Los Angeles, California. He is best known for his work as a guitarist and vocalist for the rock band Fleetwood Mac from 1971 to 1974. During his time with the band, he contributed to the albums "Future Games," "Bare Trees," and "Mystery to Me." Welch also had a successful solo career, releasing several albums including "French Kiss" in 1977, which featured the hit single "Sentimental Lady."


After leaving Fleetwood Mac, Welch continued to release music and tour as a solo artist. He had moderate success with his solo career in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Tragically, Bob Welch died on June 7, 2012, in Nashville, Tennessee, from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Despite his untimely death, Bob Welch's contributions to Fleetwood Mac and his solo work continue to be remembered and appreciated by fans of his music.
