Bland began his career in the 1950s and gained popularity in the 1960s with hits like "Turn On Your Love Light" and "I Pity the Fool."
Throughout his career, Bland released over 30 albums and had multiple chart-topping singles. He was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame in 1981 and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1992. Bland's music influenced many artists and he is often referred to as one of the greatest blues singers of all time. He passed away on June 23, 2013, leaving behind a lasting legacy in the world of rhythm and blues music.
