Bobby Darin was an American singer, songwriter, and actor who rose to fame in the late 1950s and 1960s. He was born Walden Robert Cassotto on May 14, 1936, in New York City. Darin was known for his versatility as a performer, excelling in various genres such as pop, rock and roll, jazz, and folk music.
Darin's hits include "Mack the Knife," "Beyond the Sea," and "Dream Lover." He was also a Grammy Award-winning artist and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990. In addition to his music career, Darin appeared in several films and television shows, showcasing his talents as an actor. Sadly, Darin passed away on December 20, 1973, at the age of 37, due to heart failure.
