Bobby Day was an American rhythm and blues and rock and roll singer-songwriter. He was born on July 1, 1930, in Fort Worth, Texas, and passed away on July 27, 1990, in Los Angeles, California. Day was best known for his 1958 hit song "Rockin' Robin," which reached the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
In addition to his solo career, Bobby Day was also a member of the R&B group The Hollywood Flames. He later joined the group The Satellites, which eventually evolved into the band Bob & Earl. Day's music had a significant influence on the development of rock and roll and R&B in the 1950s and 1960s, and his songs have been covered by various artists over the years.
