Artist Bio:
Bobby Freeman was an American singer, songwriter, and record producer, best known for his 1958 hit song "Do You Want to Dance." Born on June 13, 1940, in Alameda County, California, Freeman began his music career in his teenage years, performing with various groups before launching a successful solo career. His energetic and catchy style of music helped him gain popularity during the early days of rock and roll.

Freeman's breakthrough came with the release of "Do You Want to Dance," which peaked at #5 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song has since been covered by numerous artists, including The Beach Boys and the Ramones. Freeman continued to release music throughout the 1960s and 1970s, although he never achieved the same level of commercial success as he did with his initial hit. Bobby Freeman passed away on January 23, 2017, leaving behind a legacy as a pioneering figure in the early rock and roll music scene.
