Bobby Goldsboro is an American singer-songwriter, guitarist, and producer who was born on January 18, 1941, in Marianna, Florida. He is best known for his pop and country hit songs in the 1960s and 1970s. Goldsboro started his music career by performing as a guitarist for Roy Orbison and later pursued a solo career, releasing his debut album in 1964.


One of Goldsboro's most popular songs is "Honey," which reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1968. He also had other successful songs like "Watching Scotty Grow" and "Summer (The First Time)." In addition to his music career, Goldsboro has also worked as a television host and actor, appearing on programs such as "The Bobby Goldsboro Show" and "The Ed Sullivan Show."
