Bobby Helms was an American country music singer best known for his hit songs "Fraulein" and "My Special Angel." He was born on August 15, 1933, in Bloomington, Indiana, and began his music career in the 1950s. Helms signed with Decca Records in 1955 and released his breakthrough single "Fraulein" in 1957, which topped the country music charts for four weeks.


In 1957, Helms released his most popular song, "Jingle Bell Rock," which became a Christmas classic and a perennial holiday favorite. The song has since been covered by numerous artists and featured in various movies, commercials, and TV shows. Bobby Helms continued to record and perform throughout his career, earning a place in the Country Music Hall of Fame. He passed away on June 19, 1997, leaving behind a lasting legacy in country music.
