Artist Bio:
Bobby Taylor & The Vancouvers were a Canadian soul band formed in Vancouver, British Columbia in the 1960s. The group was led by Bobby Taylor, a singer and producer, who discovered a young Michael Jackson and helped him launch his solo career. The Vancouvers consisted of Tommy Chong (who later found fame as a comedian), Wes Henderson, and other members.

The group signed with Motown Records in 1968 and released their self-titled album, which included the hit single "Does Your Mama Know About Me". Despite their talent, the group did not achieve widespread commercial success and eventually disbanded in the early 1970s. Bobby Taylor & The Vancouvers are remembered for their contributions to the soul music scene and for their role in helping to kickstart Michael Jackson's legendary career.
