Artist Bio:
Bobby Vee was an American pop singer who rose to fame in the early 1960s. He was born Robert Thomas Velline on April 30, 1943, in Fargo, North Dakota. Vee gained national attention after filling in for Buddy Holly at a concert in Moorhead, Minnesota, following Holly's tragic death in a plane crash in 1959. This opportunity led to a recording contract with Liberty Records, where he released a string of hits including "Take Good Care of My Baby" and "The Night Has a Thousand Eyes".


Throughout his career, Bobby Vee had 38 singles chart on the Billboard Hot 100, with 10 of them reaching the top 20. He continued to perform and record music for several decades, and he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2014. Bobby Vee passed away on October 24, 2016, at the age of 73, leaving behind a legacy of catchy pop tunes that have stood the test of time.
