Artist Bio:
Bobby Vee was an American pop singer who rose to fame in the early 1960s. He was born on April 30, 1943, in Fargo, North Dakota, and began his music career at a young age, forming a band with his brother and friends. Vee's big break came in 1959 when he filled in for Buddy Holly at a concert in Moorhead, Minnesota, after Holly's tragic death in a plane crash. This led to a recording contract with Liberty Records and a string of hits, including "Take Good Care of My Baby" and "The Night Has a Thousand Eyes."


Throughout his career, Bobby Vee released over 25 albums and had several top 10 hits on the Billboard charts. He continued to perform and tour for several decades, earning a reputation as a talented and versatile entertainer. Vee passed away on October 24, 2016, leaving behind a legacy of timeless music that continues to be celebrated by fans of classic pop music.
