Bobby Vinton is an American singer and songwriter who was born on April 16, 1935, in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania. He found success in the music industry during the 1960s and 1970s, known for his smooth vocals and romantic ballads. Vinton is often referred to as "The Polish Prince" because of his Polish heritage and his royal-sounding stage name.


One of his most famous songs is "Blue Velvet," released in 1963, which reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Vinton also had other hits such as "Roses Are Red (My Love)" and "Mr. Lonely." Throughout his career, he recorded more than 30 albums and had over 30 singles reach the Billboard charts.
