Bobby Vinton is an American singer and songwriter who was born on April 16, 1935, in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania. He is best known for his smooth, romantic ballads that were popular in the 1960s and 1970s. Vinton's most famous songs include "Blue Velvet," "Roses Are Red (My Love)," and "Mr. Lonely."


Vinton has had over 30 Top 40 hits on the Billboard charts and has sold more than 75 million records worldwide. He was inducted into the Hit Parade Hall of Fame in 2007 and the Polka Music Hall of Fame in 1999. Vinton continues to perform and record music, maintaining a loyal fan base who appreciate his nostalgic, heartfelt songs.
