Bon Jovi is an American rock band formed in 1983 in Sayreville, New Jersey. The band was originally formed by lead singer and namesake Jon Bon Jovi (born John Francis Bongiovi Jr.), guitarist Richie Sambora, keyboardist David Bryan, drummer Tico Torres, and bassist Alec John Such. Bon Jovi is known for their arena rock sound and anthemic songs that have made them one of the best-selling music artists of all time.

The band's breakthrough came with their third album, "Slippery When Wet," released in 1986, which featured hits like "Livin' on a Prayer" and "You Give Love a Bad Name." Bon Jovi has released a total of 14 studio albums to date, selling over 130 million records worldwide. They have won multiple awards, including Grammy Awards and American Music Awards, and have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Bon Jovi continues to tour and release music, with Jon Bon Jovi remaining the only constant member throughout the band's career.
