Bonnie Raitt is an American singer, songwriter, and slide guitar player born on November 8, 1949, in Burbank, California. She is known for her unique blend of blues, rock, folk, and country music. Raitt released her self-titled debut album in 1971 and gained commercial success with her 1989 album "Nick of Time," which won three Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year. Throughout her career, she has won a total of 10 Grammy Awards and has sold over 10 million albums in the United States.
Raitt is also known for her social activism and philanthropy work. She is a strong advocate for environmental causes, as well as for social and political issues. In 2000, she was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Bonnie Raitt continues to tour and record music, showcasing her soulful voice and impressive guitar skills to audiences worldwide.
