Jones on organ, Steve Cropper on guitar, Lewie Steinberg on bass, and Al Jackson Jr. on drums. They were the house band for Stax Records and are considered one of the most influential instrumental bands in the history of popular music. Booker T. & The MG's were known for their tight, groove-oriented sound and their ability to seamlessly blend elements of R&B, soul, and rock music. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1992.
