Artist Bio:
Booker T. & The MG's were an American instrumental R&B/funk band that was formed in Memphis, Tennessee in 1962. The band's original members were Booker T. Jones (organ, piano), Steve Cropper (guitar), Donald "Duck" Dunn (bass), and Al Jackson Jr. (drums). They were one of the most influential bands in the development of soul music and the Southern soul sound, known for their tight, groovy instrumentals and innovative use of the Hammond organ.

Booker T. & The MG's gained fame as the house band for Stax Records, where they served as the backing band for numerous hit records by artists such as Otis Redding, Wilson Pickett, and Sam & Dave. The band also had their own successful instrumental hits, including "Green Onions" in 1962. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1992, and their music continues to be celebrated for its soulful and timeless quality.
