Artist Bio:
Booker T. & The MG's were an American instrumental R&B/funk band formed in Memphis, Tennessee in 1962. The group consisted of Booker T. Jones on organ, Steve Cropper on guitar, Donald "Duck" Dunn on bass, and Al Jackson Jr. on drums. They were the house band for Stax Records and played on numerous recordings for artists such as Otis Redding, Wilson Pickett, and Sam & Dave.

The band's sound was characterized by a mix of soul, R&B, and funk, with a raw and energetic style that made them one of the most influential instrumental groups of the 1960s. They had a number of hit singles, including "Green Onions" in 1962, which remains one of their most famous songs. Booker T. & The MG's were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1992, recognizing their significant contribution to the development of soul music.
