Artist Bio:
Booker T. & The MG's was an American instrumental R&B/funk band formed in 1962 in Memphis, Tennessee. The band was composed of four talented musicians: Booker T. Jones on keyboards, Steve Cropper on guitar, Donald "Duck" Dunn on bass, and Al Jackson Jr. on drums. They were known for their tight, soulful grooves and innovative sound that blended elements of R&B, soul, and rock music.


Booker T. & The MG's gained fame as the house band for Stax Records, where they played on numerous recordings for artists such as Otis Redding, Wilson Pickett, and Sam & Dave. The band also released their own music, with their biggest hit being the instrumental track "Green Onions" in 1962. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1992 and are considered one of the most influential instrumental groups in the history of popular music.
