Artist Bio:
Booker T. & The MG's were an American instrumental R&B/funk band formed in Memphis, Tennessee, in 1962. The band consisted of Booker T. Jones (organ, piano), Steve Cropper (guitar), Donald "Duck" Dunn (bass), and Al Jackson Jr. (drums). They were one of the first racially integrated rock groups, with two white members (Cropper and Dunn) and two black members (Jones and Jackson).

The band was the house band for Stax Records and played on numerous hit records for the label, including classics like "Green Onions" and "Time is Tight." They were known for their tight, soulful grooves and innovative use of the Hammond organ. Booker T. & The MG's were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1992 and received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2007 for their contributions to music.
