Boots Randolph was an American saxophonist best known for his hit instrumental song "Yakety Sax," which was used as the theme music for the popular television show "The Benny Hill Show." Born in 1927 in Paducah, Kentucky, Randolph began playing professionally in his teens and went on to have a successful career in the music industry. He was known for his distinctive saxophone playing style, which combined elements of jazz, rock, and country music.


Boots Randolph formed his own band, the Boots Randolph Combo, which was popular in the 1960s and 1970s. The Combo's music often featured Randolph's signature saxophone sound, and they released several albums that showcased their unique blend of musical styles. Randolph continued to perform and record music throughout his career, earning a reputation as one of the most talented and versatile saxophonists in the industry. He passed away in 2007, leaving behind a legacy of influential music that continues to be celebrated by fans and musicians alike.
