Homer Louis "Boots" Randolph III (1927-2007) was an American musician known for his saxophone playing. He was born in Paducah, Kentucky, and began playing music at a young age. Randolph gained popularity in the 1960s with his hit instrumental song "Yakety Sax," which became his signature tune and is often associated with comedic chase scenes in film and television. He was also known for his smooth jazz and country music style, and he collaborated with various artists throughout his career.


Randolph was inducted into the Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum in 2007 and continued to perform and record music until his passing. He was a respected musician in the industry and left a lasting legacy with his unique saxophone sound and contributions to the music world.
