Born Jamericans was a reggae/hip-hop duo that consisted of Mr. Notch and Edley Shine. They formed in Washington D.C. in 1992 and gained popularity in the mid-1990s with their unique blend of reggae, dancehall, and hip-hop music. The duo released their debut album "Kids from Foreign" in 1994, which featured hit singles like "Boom Shak-A-Tack" and "Cease & Seckle."


Born Jamericans continued to release music throughout the 1990s, with their second album "Yardcore" being released in 1997. The duo's music was known for its infectious beats, catchy hooks, and socially conscious lyrics that often touched on topics such as love, politics, and everyday struggles.
