Boz Scaggs is an American singer, songwriter, and guitarist who was born William Royce Scaggs on June 8, 1944, in Canton, Ohio. He first gained fame as a member of the Steve Miller Band in the late 1960s and went on to have a successful solo career. Scaggs is known for his soulful voice and his blend of rock, blues, and R&B music.


In the 1970s, he released several critically acclaimed albums, including "Silk Degrees" in 1976, which featured hits like "Lowdown" and "Lido Shuffle." Over the years, Scaggs has continued to release music and tour, earning a dedicated fan base. He has received multiple Grammy nominations throughout his career and remains a respected figure in the music industry.
