Bread was an American soft rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1968. The band's original lineup consisted of David Gates (vocals, guitar, bass, keyboards), James Griffin (vocals, guitar), Robb Royer (bass, guitar, flute, keyboards), and Mike Botts (drums). Bread achieved mainstream success in the early 1970s with their melodic pop-rock sound, characterized by smooth harmonies and introspective lyrics.
Some of Bread's most popular songs include "Make It with You," "Everything I Own," and "Baby I'm-a Want You." The band released a total of 13 albums before disbanding in 1977. Despite their relatively short career, Bread left a lasting impact on the soft rock genre and continues to be remembered for their classic hits that have stood the test of time.
