Bread was an American soft rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1968. The band consisted of David Gates (vocals, guitar, bass), Jimmy Griffin (vocals, guitar), Robb Royer (bass, guitar, flute, keyboards), and Mike Botts (drums). They were known for their mellow, melodic sound and romantic lyrics, which resonated with audiences in the 1970s.
Bread achieved success with hits such as "Make It with You," "Everything I Own," and "Baby I'm-A Want You," all of which reached high positions on the Billboard charts. The band released several albums throughout the 1970s before disbanding in 1973. Despite their relatively short career, Bread's music continues to be popular with fans of soft rock and easy listening music.
