Brenda & The Tabulations were an American R&B group formed in Philadelphia in 1966. The group was led by lead singer Brenda Payton, who had a distinctive and soulful voice. Their music often featured a combination of soulful ballads and uptempo tracks, with Brenda's emotive vocals at the forefront. They were signed to the Top and Dionn record labels and released several albums and singles throughout the late 1960s and 1970s.
One of their most well-known songs is "Right on the Tip of My Tongue," which reached the top 10 on the R&B charts in 1971. The group continued to record and perform throughout the 1970s, but eventually disbanded in the early 1980s. Brenda & The Tabulations left a lasting impact on the R&B and soul music scene with their heartfelt and soulful performances.
