Benton's hits include "Rainy Night in Georgia," "Endlessly," and "It's Just a Matter of Time."
Throughout his career, Benton collaborated with other notable artists such as Dinah Washington, with whom he recorded duets, and Tony Joe White, who wrote "Rainy Night in Georgia." He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2010. Benton's music continues to be celebrated for its emotional depth and timeless appeal, making him a significant figure in the history of soul and R&B music.
