Artist Bio:
Brownstone was an American female R&B group formed in Los Angeles in the mid-1990s. The group consisted of three members: Nicci Gilbert, Charmayne "Maxee" Maxwell, and Monica "Mimi" Doby. Brownstone rose to fame with their debut album, "From the Bottom Up," released in 1995. The album included hit singles such as "If You Love Me" and "Grapevyne," which helped the group achieve commercial success and critical acclaim.

Brownstone's vocal harmonies and soulful sound garnered them a loyal fan base, and they were known for their powerful performances. The group released two more albums, "Still Climbing" in 1997 and "Brownstone" in 2007. Despite some lineup changes and a hiatus in between albums, Brownstone continued to showcase their talent and musical versatility. Tragically, Charmayne Maxwell passed away in 2015, leading to the disbandment of the group. Brownstone's music remains popular among R&B fans, and their legacy as a pioneering female R&B group endures.
