Brownsville Station was a rock band formed in 1969 in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The band's original lineup consisted of Cub Koda on guitar and vocals, Mike Lutz on guitar and vocals, Tony Driggins on bass, and T.J. Cronley on drums. They are best known for their hit song "Smokin' in the Boys Room", which reached number 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1973. The band's music is often categorized as a mix of rock and roll, boogie, and blues rock.
Brownsville Station released a total of seven studio albums between 1970 and 1979, with their most successful being their self-titled album released in 1977. In addition to their music career, the band also gained popularity for their energetic live performances. Brownsville Station disbanded in the early 1980s, but their music continues to be appreciated by fans of classic rock and 1970s music.
